OGC Nice are looking to reverse the trend. Winless in the last five and with three defeats in their last four, Le Gym have slipped from second to fifth in Ligue 1. A response is needed against Montpellier HSC on Friday, however, it has now been announced that they will have to secure any result without key midfielder Youssouf Ndayishimiye (25).
Following Nice’s latest defeat, at the hands of Toulouse FC last weekend, Francesco Farioli dismissed notions of a “crisis” at the club, however, he did call for a reaction. One is certainly needed if Les Aiglons want to avoid throwing away all of their hard work.

Within this context, Ndayishimiye addressed the media on Wednesday. “It’s the most important match for us,” said the Burundi international. However, he will play no part against Montpellier. Nice have announced their matchday squad, and whilst Morgan Sanson (29) returns after missing the last two games, Ndayishimiye is an unexpected absentee.
In a medical report, the Riviera club revealed that Ndayishimiye suffered a thigh injury in training on Thursday and will therefore miss the match.
