Werder Bremen have made their fourth signing of the transfer window with the signature of Danish international Jens Stage from FC Copenhagen.
Bremen have not released the contract or transfer sum that brought the versatile player to the Bundesliga.
However, it’s clear that Bremen are obtaining a talented international who can play as a full-back, winger, midfielder, and even as a forward.
Stage was under contract with the Danish side until 2024 but has now made the short journey south to join his new team.
Overall, the 26-year-old played 111 competitive matches for Copenhagen, scoring 21 goals and producing 11 assists.
Werder’s head of scouting and professional football Clemens Fritz said: “With his dynamism and aggressiveness, he can liven up our game in midfield. We’re happy that we were able to convince him to move to Werder.”
Bremen coach Ole Werner added: “Up to now he has mainly played in midfield in the centre or in the eighth position. He is physically good, well trained as a footballer and also brings a certain goal threat with him.”
