After three years at FC Köln, Kingsley Ehizibue (27) has joined Serie A side Udinese for a reported €1.5m. The Dutch right-back has signed a four-year deal plus an option for another year.
Born in Munich, Ehizibue moved to the Netherlands at the age of two and came through the youth ranks at PEC Zwolle, where he played in the first team for five years before joining FC Köln in 2019 for €2m.
During his time at PEC Zwolle, Ehizibue played 135 games across all competitions, scoring nine and creating 18. In three years in Germany, the now 27-year-old scored one and created three in 76 games for the Billy Goats.
With just hours of the transfer window remaining and several injury problems, FC Köln are expected to re-enter the transfer market for a defensive player. They could yet sign a replacement for Anthony Modeste, who joined Borussia Dortmund, but are yet to find a suitable player after desired target Branimir Hrgota extended his contract with 2. Bundesliga side Greuther Fürth.
