Hertha midfielder Lucas Tousart’s transfer to 1. FC Union Berlin was confirmed late yesterday.

New Bundesliga Champions’ League representatives 1. FC Union Berlin wrapped up the capture of Hertha BSC midfielder Lucas Tousart yesterday evening. Reports from multiple German footballing media sources confirm a base transfer feee of some €3 million, which could rise to €6 million of certain performance incentives are met. The length of the 26-year-old’s new contract in Köpenick was not disclosed.
“The successful progress of Union in recent years are very remarkable and I am looking forward to the new challenge,” Tousart remarked in a club statement, “I expect to settle in quickly at the club and contribute to Union’s success.”
“Lucas is a seasoned player with a lot of experience, both nationally and internationally,” Union manager Oliver Ruhnert added, “A player of his quality is an asset to any team. He will fit in perfectly with us and we are delighted that he has chosen Union.”
