Serie A side Sampdoria have now signed Tottenham’s English midfielder Harry Winks on a loan deal.
Winks has been out of favour at Spurs under Antonio Conte, who has shown a preference to use Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur in the middle of the park. While English clubs were linked with the midfielder, Sampdoria have sealed a move for him.
The Englishman arrives at Samp on a loan deal, with reports previously stating that the Blucherchiati will see Spurs see a majority of his wages at the club in the loan stint.
It was previously stated that Winks had put a move to Samp on hold as he was looking for a Premier League move. But he later accepted a move to the Serie A side and the transfer is done.
Winks had not travelled to Asia for Spurs’ pre-season friendlies, along with Sergio Reguilon, who is close to joining Atletico Madrid.
