Romaric Etondé (18), who has spent the last six years at Paris Saint-Germain, has joined AS Monaco, signing a three-year deal with the Principality club that takes effect from 1st July 2023.
Etondé will join Monaco on a free transfer upon the expiry of his PSG contract. The Franco-Cameroon attacker has spent the last six years at Les Parisiens, but prior to that, had played for city rivals Paris FC. Despite never featuring for the PSG first team, Etondé was nonetheless involved in multiple training sessions with the first team.
This season, the forward played principally with the club’s U19 side, scoring six goals in that time. Etondé also featured in two Youth League matches. Etondé joins a Monaco team that is still without a manager following the sacking of Philippe Clement. It is not expected that the new signing will immediately join up with the first team, and Etondé will likely feature largely with the Groupe Élite, managed by Damien Perrinelle, in the more immediate future.
