La Liga outfit Osasuna have this week announced the latest installation on the club’s bench.
The tactician chosen to lead the Rojillos forward into a new era? Alessio Lisci.
The name of Italian Lisci has of course proven an altogether prominent one in the headlines surrounding Osasuna for some time now.
This comes after widespread reports were forthcoming, pointing towards the 39-year-old as the preferred replacement for Vicente Moreno at El Sadar.
Lisci is for his part fresh off a hugely impressive campaign in Spanish football’s 2nd tier, which saw him guide Mirandés to within a whisker of promotion to La Liga.
As alluded to above, though, whilst Mirandés will continue to ply their trade in the Segunda in 2025/26, the club’s now-former manager will be working in the top-flight.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Osasuna:
‘Club Atlético Osasuna has reached an agreement with Alessio Lisci to become its manager for the next two seasons. The Italian coach has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2027.’
