Former Barcelona star Luis Suárez has joined his former team-mates, Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba at US side Inter Miami as a free agent.
The Uruguay International will sign a one-year contract, with the option to extend for a further year until 2025.
Talks have been ongoing, and Mundo Deportivo report that a verbal agreement has been in place since November following the 36-year-old’s stint at Brazilian side Gremio.
The striker will link up with his former team-mates, with whom he spent six years between 2014 and 2020 before his move to Atlético Madrid. During that time, Barcelona won a total of 10 trophies, including three La Liga titles and three Copa del Rey.
It was feared that Suárez would have to leave his playing days behind after it was reported that the Urugayan suffered from arthritis in his leg and suffered intense pain every time he played. However, after reflection, he has decided to continue his career in the US.
