Kasper Dolberg has joined Hoffenheim for the rest of the season, as communicated on the official social media channels of the Bundesliga club.
The 25-year-old joined the Andalucían outfit on loan from Nice in the summer of 2022. However, he did not fulfill expectations and he failed to score a single goal in the eight appearances he made for the club in the autumn.
Sevilla were keen to terminate the Denmark international’s contract and in December it was reported that Hoffenheim were interested in taking Dolberg off Los Nervionenses’ hands.
The Danish forward joins the German side on loan from Nice, with Hoffenheim having the option to purchase Dolberg permanently at the end of the season.
Sevilla currently find themselves in La Liga’s relegation zone. Los Nervionenses have been struggling for goals all season and the club’s board are expected to bring in reinforcements to the forwards department in the January transfer window.
