The openly confirmed loan-out of Norwegian attacker Jens Petter Hauge to KAA Gent is now officially through. In a statement accompanying the signing, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche once again emphasized the need to give the club prospect regular playing practice at a high league and international level.
“We have had very good experiences in recent years loaning players with developmental potential out to Belgium,” Krösche noted, “Jens Petter has great potential, but at his age he needs regular competitive experience. He can now once again gain this at international level. We thus jointly arrived at the decision that this is the best step for him at this time.”
As reported upon earlier, the loan arrangement does not contain a purchase option. The SGE will expect the 22-year-old back at the end of the season. Hauge was welcomed with much fanfare on Gent’s social media feed, introduced as “our new no. 10.”
