Europa League holders Eintracht Frankfurt have today announced the departure of 22-year-old Norwegian Jens Petter Hauge on loan to Belgian side KAA Gent for the 2022/23 season.
“In recent years we’ve had very positive experiences with loaning promising young players to Belgium,” said SGE sporting director Markus Krösche. “Jens Petter possesses great attributes but needs regular competitive football at his age. He can now gain this at European level again, which is why we came to the joint decision that this is the right step for him at this point in time.”
Hauge joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Italian side Milan in October 2021 before joining on a permanent basis in May 2022 after activating their purchase option on the Norwegian.
During his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, Hauge has played 38 games across all competitions, scoring three and creating two. The arrivals of Randal Kolo Muani and Mario Götze was likely to see a decrease in playing time at SGE, resulting in a loan move to Belgium.
