Brighton and Hove Albion FC have signed French striker Georginio Rutter (22) from Leeds United, both clubs have announced. The Seagulls have triggered the Frenchman’s release clause, which reportedly rises to €47m. Rutter is therefore Brighton’s club-record signing. Leeds United confirmed that Brighton activated an exit clause in his contract. The Stade Rennais youth product joined the Whites from TSG Hoffenheim for a club-record €34m fee in January 2023.
Rutter went on to log eight goals in 66 appearances for Leeds United. The France U21 international put pen to paper over a five-year deal with Fabian
