Borussia Mönchengladbach have this afternoon announced the signing of Oscar Fraulo from FC Midtjylland on a four-year contract until 2026 for an undisclosed fee.
“Oscar is an exciting and ambitious lad with an entertaining style of play. He will need time to settle here, however, and will need to learn from the more experienced players,” sporting director Roland Virkus told the club’s website. “We’re certain that if he can do that he has the potential to achieve lots here.”
The 18-year-old played 71 minutes of football last season for Midtjylland but scored five and created three in eight UEFA Youth League games for the U19 squad. Fraulo made his debut for the Danish club in the Champions League qualifying stage against PSV at just 17.
He becomes the 19th Dane to play for Mönchengladbach and the latest after Andreas Christensen (2015-2017), Jannik Vestergaard (2016-2018) and Andreas Poulsen, who is currently at the club.
