German second division side 1. FC Nürnberg confirmed the pick up of SV Werder Bremen midfielder Benjamin Goller on Sunday afternoon.

Following three consecutive loan stints, SV Werder Bremen have found a new permanent home for seldom used attacking midfielder/winger Benjamin Goller. The 23-year-old will move to 1. FC Nürnberg on a full transfer. Financial terms were not disclosed.
After making ten top flight appearances for Bremen under then head-coach Florian Kohfeldt during the 2019/20 campaign, Goller has played exclusively in the 2. Bundesliga via loan stints with SV Darmstadt 98 and the Karlsruher SC. The former German youth international has been deployed a total of 51 times for the two clubs and scored seven second division goals.
“Benni had a promising training camp before unfortunately being set back by an injury,” Bremen manager Clemens Fritz noted in a statement released by the Hanseaten, “Afterwards, he was unable to get the playing time he would have liked, so he would now like to take on a new challenge.”
“Benjamin has repeatedly shown flashes of his abilities in previous locales,” FCN executive Dieter Hecking said on behalf of the receiving club Now he should be able to continue his development with us.”
