Alexander Nübel’s agent, Stefan Backs, has ruled out an early return to Munich.
Alexander Nübel will not be returning early to Bayern Munich from his loan spell at AS Monaco.
The German champions have been looking into the possibility of cutting the 26-year-old’s loan spell short following Manuer Neuer’s season-ending leg injury.
However, Nübel’s agent, Stefan Backs, has now put the speculation to bed.
“It’s true. The transfer is off the table. Alexander will play the second half of the season at Monaco,” Backs told Sky Germany.
Per Sky Germany, Bayern have recently reopened talks to sign Gladbach’s Yann Sommer, with the deal depending on if ‘Die Fohlen’ can find a suitable replacement and the two clubs can agree on a transfer fee.
