Borussia Dortmund will have to manage without Felix Nmecha for the rest of the year.
This was revealed by BVB coach Edin Terzic ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The midfielder picked up a hip injury before the international break and will remain sidelined until 2024.
“Felix already had to withdraw from international duty due to a hip injury. It unfortunately hasn’t improved in the last few days, so we’ve now decided to give everything some time to recover. The injury is located in an awkward place where little can be done with therapy, which means that he needs a break. Felix will therefore not play again this calendar year,” said Terzic, as quoted by the club.
“We assume that we will be able to build him up again and integrate him into team training at the beginning of January.”
