Having come back to Paris earlier this month to continue his recovery from reconstructive ankle surgery, a return to action is now in sight for Neymar after half a season on the sidelines.
Paris Saint-Germain have announced today that the Brazilian is set to be partially involved in the team’s training sessions this week, having been going through individual drills up until now. The 31-year-old, who is entering his seventh season in the French capital, will be hoping to return to top form under Luis Enrique, who he worked under at Barcelona. The forward is under contract for another four seasons.
Aside from Neymar, this week also sees a return to drills for Nordi Mukiele, while Presnel Kimpembe is continuing his recovery from an Achilles rupture, and is expected to be back on the pitch for running exercises in August. A hamstring issue has meant that Nuno Mendes will remain sidelined for the next few weeks.
