New president appointed at AS Nancy Lorraine in bid to revive fortunes

AS Nancy Lorraine, currently struggling to maintain their position in the Championnat National (third tier), are set to undergo significant changes as they sack president Gauthier Ganaye, according to L’Équipe. The club’s shareholders have expressed their dissatisfaction with the current situation and are considering implementing drastic measures. Krishen Sud, one of the shareholders, conducted an important audit at the club’s offices last week.

As a result, the shareholders have reportedly decided to end their collaboration with the club’s president, Gauthier Ganaye, who was also responsible for managing Ostende. The Belgian club is expected to be sold in the near future, and the shareholders have indicated that ASNL will be at the center of the new project. To oversee the club’s daily operations, they have decided to appoint Nabil El-Yaagoubi as president. The former stadium manager joined the club as deputy general director last summer.

AS Nancy Lorraine has been facing a tough time recently, having been relegated to the third tier last summer and are currently 14th place, and in a battle to stay in the division. The club’s shareholders are now determined to bring about changes that will put the club back on track.
