Nemanja Matic has signed a contract with Roma and his move could be made official soon.
Matic’s agents had offered the Serbian to Roma some weeks ago, well after he had announced his decision to depart Manchester United. Even though his contract Old Trafford wasn’t expiring, the midfielder made the decision to depart the club and he was keen on reuniting with Jose Mourinho.
Sky Italia have now claimed that the medical has been successfully complete, as Matic arrived in Roma yesterday. Following the medical tests, the player also signed his contract with the club. He will earn €3.5 million per season at the Giallorossi and has signed a one-year deal but there is an option for a second year too.
Mourinho wanted to reunite with the Serbian as well, as he managed him during his time at both Manchester United and Chelsea. He won the Premier League at Stamford Bridge with Matic in midfield.
