It seems likely that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen will not even be on the bench in the club’s Serie A clash against Inter later today.
Osimhen had started for the Partenopei against Barcelona in the 3-1 loss in the Champions League, as Napoli bowed out of the competition in the Round of 16.
But Il Mattino (via CN24) today report that there is not a good feeling about Osimhen today and the possibility of him starting against Inter. It is very likely that he will be in the stands and won’t even make it to the bench for the big clash.
There is a muscle fatigue issue that is likely to keep him unless a major turnaround happens and it is possible that it could also prove to be a muscle strain.
Managar Francesco Calzona is considering the possibility of starting Giacomo Raspadori against Inter, with Giovanni Simeone’s name failing to climb up the pecking order.
