Napoli star Matteo Politano has stated that everyone has to respect manager Rudi Garcia and the decisions he makes as the club’s boss.
The Partenopei picked up a 3-1 win over Verona at the Bentegodi earlier today and it came after a rather turbulent international break, during which Garcia seemed on the verge of leaving at least once. The break had arrived right after a loss to Fiorentina, who had climbed into the top four.
Antonio Conte was said to be a name of interest before he rejected the chance. Garcia, as a result, stayed as the boss. His side scored three, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia grabbing a goal in each half in the absence of Victor Osimhen.
Politano scored the first goal of the game and he spoke to DAZN (via CN24) after the tie, stating that Garcia’s choices must be respected even if there may have been doubts about the Frenchman some days ago.
“The important thing is that we find the right way to win games. Even before the break, we had worked well and had achieved good results but we needed to regroup and not listen to what was said about the coach. We must show respect to the coach and the choices he makes.”
