Napoli target Yeremy Pino to replace Saudi League target Lozano

Serie A champions Napoli are eyeing a move for Villarreal attacker Yeremy Pino this summer, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The 20-year-old had a superb 2022/23 season at the La Liga club, netting four goals and creating ten big chances (five assists) in 36 league appearances.

Pino made his first team debut in the 2020/21 season and has gradually been building his experience with the Yellow Submarines.

After his impressive season, the Partenopei have him on their shortlist of attacking reinforcements.

The Las Palmas-born attacker is a name that has been interesting to the Neapolitan side for some time, and they could move for him this summer.

Pino would provide competition for Matteo Politano on the right side of the Napoli attack.

Napoli are preparing for the possible departure of Hirving Lozano this summer. He has struggled for game time this season.

The former PSV Eindhoven man started only 20 games in Serie A this term. He scored three goals and assisted three more as Napoli won the Scudetto.

However, he could be on his way out of Italy. The Mexican attacker has interest from Saudi Arabia.

The Gulf Nation is on a recruitment drive, and they have their eyes on Lozano after sealing deals for Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Ruben Neves.

Also, Major League Soccer (MLS) might be the next destination for Lozano. The 27-year-old is the star player for the Mexican national team and is an exciting option for several MLS sides.

The Athletic’s Tom Bogert (via MLS Soccer) listed Atlanta United, LA Galaxy, Los Angeles FC, and Chicago Fire as teams with the financial might to sign the attacker.

Lozano could find the idea intriguing as some of his El Tri teammates have left La Liga for the MLS.

LAFC striker Carlos Vela left Real Sociedad for America. LA Galaxy striker Javier Hernandez left Sevilla for the North American side.

Also, Houston Dynamo FC midfielder Hector Herrera made a similar move from Atletico Madrid. Lozano could be next.
