Reigning Serie A champions Napoli have sealed a move for Salernitana full-back Pasquale Mazzocchi, thereby ending their chase for a full-back this January.
Talks with the Salerno-based outfit were going on for many days but the Partenopei were struggling to find an agreement, despite having agreed personal terms with the 28-year-old Italian.
Sky Italia now confirm that everything is done on the Mazzocchi front for Napoli, with a deal now agreed. The Partenopei will pay close to €3 million to Salernitana and the player will undergo a medical tomorrow and will arrive in Naples. Mazzocchi will act as a back-up to Giovanni di Lorenzo and has already left the Salerno-based side.
The full-back has made 18 appearances this season for the side, making one appearance. Salernitana have struggled this season, but the Italian has always been a consistent performer and was also linked with a move to Juventus in the summer but the move never materialised.
