Former Serie A champions Napoli are likely to lose Victor Osimhen in the summer and they see Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku as a potential target to replace the Nigerian.
Corriere della Sera have reported about the situation surrounding a potential swap involving Osimhen and Lukaku, stating that Chelsea are insistent on signing Osimhen more than Paris Saint-Germain are. Parties have spoken about the feasibility of a potential cash plus players deal.
In the meantime, it has also been learnt that Lukaku draws keen interest from Napoli. The possibility of the Belgian staying at Roma on a permanent basis seem rather low because of the cost of a move. Incoming Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has long had an admiration for Lukaku and he even tried to sign him at Juventus last summer before the move fell through.
Manna now wants to try again in the summer and he is interested in bringing Lukaku to the Maradona in the summer. There is work to do but the Partenopei’s interest is concrete.
