Serie A champions Napoli want to sign Christian Pulisic from Chelsea this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Partenopei are looking to reinforce their squad after winning only their third Scudetto. They have turned their attention to the American international.
Pulisic has had an unremarkable spell in England since signing for them in 2019. Injuries have blighted his time, puncturing his consistency.
Also, Chelsea’s ever-revolving door of managers has made it difficult for him to nail down a starting berth at the club.
The 24-year-old has only one goal and two assists in 27 appearances this season. The Hershey-born attacker has 26 goals and 21 assists in 147 appearances for the Blues.
Pulisic has only a year left on his deal with the London club and is looking for the exit door. Chelsea are open to selling after bloating their squad. They need to offload players like Pulisic.
Napoli will consider signing the former Borussia Dortmund man as he will come cheap with only 12 months on his deal.
Furthermore, he offers versatility, as he can play all across the forward line.
Pulisic has interest from Juventus, AC Milan, and Atletico Madrid, but Napoli are the most interested party in the race.
Chelsea will reportedly try to bring up Victor Osimhen in any deal for Pulisic. The Blues are looking for a new striker, and the Nigerian international is of interest to them.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has publicly claimed he won’t sell Osimhen.
However, many believe an offer of around £130 million will bring the Italian filmmaker to the negotiation table.
Bayern Munich showed interest in Osimhen, but the price tag has deterred them. They are now pursuing Randal Kolo Muani.
Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain are queueing for Osimhen. Although, Chelsea could have an ace with Pulisic, whom Napoli want.
