Serie A giants Napoli are interested in the possibility of landing Nice left-back Melvin Bard.
Currently, both of Napoli’s left-backs are out, forcing manager Walter Mazzarri to play Natan at left-back. But the Partenopei are looking to strengthen in that position.
Marco Conterio has reported that Nice’s Bard is someone that Napoli are keeping tabs on and he is seen as the perfect target for the role. But he is one of the names on the shortlist, so far. As of now, Nice value him at around €15 million to €20 million and while Napoli would eye a January move, it isn’t something Nice have opened upto yet. A summer move might be possible, but a January exit has been ruled out so far.
Mario Rui has no shortage of admirers in the market and if he does leave, bringing in a left-back would become vital for the Partenopei and Bard could become a target.
