Napoli’s disastarous loss to Torino saw the Partenopei drop to ninth in the table and it has proved to be a shocking defence of the Scudetto so far.
Pasquale Mazzocchi’s sending off did make things worse, but it was fitting of the club’s fall this season as the new signing picked up a rather obvious red card within five minutes of making his debut.
WIth Antonio Conte present in the stands, it unfolded with manager Walter Mazzarri not on the sidelines due to suspension. He too, watched on from a box above the stands. After the loss, Napoli decided that no one from the club will speak to the press after the loss.
During the game, fans made comments against the club’s ownership, as CalcioNapoli reported. They chanted, rather angrily: “F**k the Scudetto, we deserve more respect.”
It didn’t end there as after the game, the players went to apologise to the away fans and they faced the wrath of the angry supporters and stood there, left to look. The club seem to be in a state of crisis.
