According to a report from L’Équipe, Anthony Lopes (34) is expected to leave Olympique Lyonnais before his contract expires this summer with FC Nantes linked to a move in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The French outlet writes that Lopes is likely to sign a six-month contract with Nantes but with an option for additional years based on his performance. La Maison Jaune had been interested in securing his services over the summer but were reportedly put off by the reality of attempting to convince the former Portuguese international to take a pay cut.
Anthony Lopes to replace Alban Lafont?
However, Nantes have returned to the market with L’Équipe writing that it is suspected that Alban Lafont (25) could leave. Since the defeat to Le Havre AC on the 24th of November, Lafont had lost his place in the Nantes side to Patrik Calgren (32) who started in the matches against Paris Saint-Germain, Stade Rennais, Stade Brestois, and La Jeanne d’Arc de Drancy.
