According to RMC Sport, Mike Maignan (28) is expected to make the French team for the summer Euros despite his current injury status.
The AC Milan goalkeeper is currently recovering from an injury to his abductor, and while his return date has yet to be specified, it is thought that he will be fully fit to play for France during the upcoming competition.
Maignan has suffered from a series of injuries this season. He picked up a thigh problem during the Champions League game against Newcastle in September which saw him miss the final minutes of the game. While in the Europa League, Maignan was substituted early in the match against Slavia Prague after he experienced knee problems.
Maignan was also monitored during the most recent international break by the French medical staff after they were worried by a “little concern” noticed in Milan’s game against Hellas Verona. The keeper was rested for the game against Germany but recovered in time for the Chile friendly.
Despite these issues, Maignan remains the number one for Didier Deschamps ahead of Brice Samba (30) and Alphonse Areola (31) in the pecking order after Hugo Lloris (37) retired from international duty.
