Milan are scouting the market for a new striker to replace the ageing Olivier Giroud and have set their sights on Lille’s Jonathan David.
According to a report by Daniele Longo, Jonathan David is destined to leave Ligue 1 side Lille in the next transfer window as his current contract expires in 2024 and has dumped all talks of a possible renewal with the club. Milan are closely following the developments related to the Canadian forward and will make an attempt to sign him during the January transfer window.
The Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani has excellent relations with Les Dogues and therefore is expected to leverage those for signing the 23-year-old.
Milan added a host of new names to their team in the summer and are receiving the expected results from them. However, the club are in need of a striker as 37-year-old Olivier Giroud’s performances cannot be relied on for every match.
