Milan will use Saturday night’s visit of Bologna as a scouting report, as the rossoneri eye up two of the visitors hottest properties.
According to Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, both midfielder Lewis Ferguson and striker Joshua Zirkzee are on Stefano Pioli’s wanted list.
Scottish international Ferguson has been in outstanding form this season and has been linked with a possible move to Juventus. A virtual ever present in coach Thiago Motta’s starting line-up, the 24-year-old has also been entrusted with the captains armband. Ferguson’s current deal runs until 2027, but Motta knows he will do well to keep hold of him beyond the current season.
The same could be said for 20-year-old Zirkzee, who was purchased from Bayern Munich for a knock down price of €8.5 million in 2022.
Currently riding the crest of a wave, the Dutch Under-21 star is Bologna’s current leading marksman with eight goals, but it is his all round performances that has been grabbing all the headlines.
The two stars aren’t the only profiles at Bologna that Milan have kept tabs on, as Thiago Motta is also of interest, with Stefano Pioli looking increasingly likely to depart in the summer.
