Max Allegri votes against Juventus’ move for Man City’s Kalvin Phillips

Juventus manager Max Allegri has voted against the club’s move for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

The Englishman has drawn heavy links with a move to the Bianconeri, with the midfielder interested in a loan spell in January and talks with City said to be ongoing.

Daniele Longo has reported that complications have now emerged in the saga, as the Old Lady want to bolster their midfielder but they do not want to go against the wishes of the manager. Talks were advancing for Phillips and a new sense of optimism was seen recently, but things could now fade.

Phillips’ profile doesn’t impress Allegri and he believes that the midfielder would not suit his system at the club. Negotiations, as a result, will not advance as Allegri’s priority happens to be Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The Juve boss is hoping that his wish gets satisfied, despite the fact that Juve will not face troubles in reaching an agreement with City for Phillips.
