Serie A league leaders Inter were held to a 2-2 draw by Parma earlier today, despite having taken an advantage in the first half and this can come to haunt them later in the season.
The Nerazzurri had picked up a 2-0 lead in the first half, thanks to goals from Matteo Darmian and Marcus Thuram. But a poor second half saw them concede twice and they failed to get a late winner.
Darmian, who had featured due to an injury to Denzel Dumfries, spoke to DAZN after the tie and stated that the showing was indeed poor in the second 45 minutes.
He said, via TMW: “We definitely shouldn’t have let them come back. It’s hard to explain but we’ll have to work on these things. It was already happening with Udinese, now the games will be more and more decisive and we’ll have to be ready.”
Napoli take on Bologna on Monday and if they win, they will only be one point behind Inter and this can tighten up the title race. Inter have an easy fixture to come up and this can be of help to them.
