Former Barcelona forward Martin Braithwaite has spoken in an interview with Catalunya Ràdio’s ‘Tot Costa’ programme, where he discussed his start to life with new club Espanyol, Barça and Ousmane Dembélé.
On Dembélé
“He makes more of a difference than Lewandowski. Ousmane is a very good guy, I like him a lot, he has a huge talent. I’ve never seen anyone like that. Messi is something else, but I’ve never seen anyone like Ousmane.”
On Lewandowski
“He scores a lot of goals, I’m happy for him, he’s a great professional. I wish him all the luck to have a very good season, but now I’m here to win at Espanyol.”
His departure from Barça
“People don’t know everything, they read the press and it’s not true what was said. It’s the past and now I’m happy. I have a lot of positive things about Barcelona in my head, and now I’m here, where I want to be.
He added that Espanyol “came at the perfect time” and that staying in Barcelona was a decisive factor:
“My family likes it a lot and it’s important to continue living here.”
