According to a report by La Provence, Olympique de Marseille have not received a response from Norwich City after sending their opening offer for Jonathan Rowe (21).
Marseille are not the only club interested in Rowe with Leeds United reportedly interested in the English winger as a replacement for Crysencio Summerville (22) who left this summer to join West Ham United. However, Marseille are thought to be the only club to have acted on their interest and lodged a bid for the Englishman.
Rowe has certainly reciprocated Marseille’s interest with the left winger withdrawing from yesterday’s matchday squad ahead of the first game of the season against Oxford United. This has been reported by Sky Sports as a clear attempt from Rowe to put pressure on the Norwich hierarchy to let him leave for the South of France.
Rowe pressure but no answer from Norwich
Despite the pressure from the player, there has been no movement from Norwich and Marseille are left waiting to hear whether their offer will be accepted or declined.
