According to Sky Germany, Marcus Thuram and Ramy Bensebaini are both doubtful for Borussia Mönchengladbach’s game against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.
The club is fearing that Thuram has suffered from a muscle tear which could be an extended period of time out, while Bensebaini has been complaining about hip pain.
Both were substituted off in Gladbach’s 1-0 loss to Union Berlin on Sunday. Bensebaini lasted 69 minutes before being replaced by Luca Netz while Thuram was brought off in the 87th minute for Marvin Friedrich who would go on to play striker.
Thuram and Bensebaini have five games left as Gladbach players as both will leave the club at the end of the season when their contracts expire. Several reports indicate Bensebaini is set to join Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
While the future of Thuram is currently unknown. The 25-year-old is currently joint second in the Bundesliga scoring chart with 13 goals, three goals behind leader Niclas Füllkrug.
