Paris Saint-Germain are seemingly approaching a major overhaul, with a handful of new signings and equally several departures expected.

Les Parisiens have already parted ways with Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, and many could follow suit this summer.

Among them is Marco Verratti who has courted concrete interest from Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal.

As revealed by L’Equipe, the delegates of Al Hilal have arrived in the French capital to discuss a potential move for the Italian midfielder.

Al Hilal have grabbed the headlines for snapping up Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves from the Premier League, with the latter being signed for a record fee of £47 million.

The Riyadh-based outfit are now looking to lure Verratti, who is said to be open to leaving the French capital after a decade.

The Euro 2020 winner has contracted to the Ligue 1 giants until 2026 and has reportedly discussed the possibility of an exit with his teammates.

Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest in Verratti, but their financial situation will make it difficult for them to compete with Al Hilal.

It will also be interesting to see what Luis Enrique’s imminent appointment as the head coach does, with the Spanish gaffer reportedly a huge admirer of Verratti.

PSG ultras veto Lucas Hernandez’s transfer

PSG ultras are notorious for taking no prisoners when it comes to criticising their own players.

The most recent victim was Messi, who had been a divisive figure among fans all along due to various reasons, including PSG’s failure in the Champions League, the unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia in May and the drawn-out transfer saga.

In the aftermath, Les Parisiens supporters gathered in numbers in front of PSG’s headquarters to protest against the World Cup winner.

Now, PSG’s transfer target Lucas Hernandez is facing a similar hostility from the fans due to his roots with the club’s arch-rivals Marseille, the city where he was born and the club which his father Jean-Francois Hernandez represented.

As relayed by RMC Sport, the leader of PSG Ultras Romain Mabille posted on Instagram that Lucas would not be welcomed at Parc des Princes.

PSG have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Bayern Munich defender, who has reiterated his desire to the German giants that he wants to join the Ligue 1 champions.
