SC Freiburg have extended Johan Manzambi’s contract.
Johan Manzambi has signed a contract extension with SC Freiburg, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Tuesday.
As is customary with Freiburg, the length of the new deal has not been disclosed.
“Johan has consistently continued to develop, something that makes him really stand out,” said board member Jochen Saier.
“He has been able to hone his skills even further and his style of play has made him an essential part of the success of the team. Everyone is sure that here is the best place for him to be.”
The 19-year-old central midfielder broke into Freiburg’s first team last season. After signing his new contract, he said:
“I’m very grateful for and happy about my first year with the SC first team. The stadium and the fans are great, and we have a properly good team. I really wanted to stay here and hope that we can deliver another strong performance next season.”
Manzambi has made 11 appearances for Freiburg’s senior side so far, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
