Sadio Mane and Joao Cancelo have no future at Bayern Munich and will leave the club this summer, according to Sky Germany.
Mane joined the Bavarians this summer in a deal worth around £45 million from Liverpool. But he has failed to live up to his reputation.
The 31-year-old has only scored seven Bundesliga goals this season but has missed 15 big chances.
Former Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann reduced his game time after some disappointing performances. It has not increased under new coach Thomas Tuchel.
In their last game, a 6-0 win over FC Schalke, he only got five minutes from the bench. Although, he did the most with his minutes, setting up Noussair Mazraoui’s goal.
Also, it does not help that Mane was involved in a bust-up with Leroy Sane. The former Liverpool man reportedly hit Sane in the lip leading to a visible redness and swelling.
The club has decided to put Mane up for sale this summer after an uninspiring first season for Die Rekordmeister.
He could be set for a Premier League return as only English clubs can afford his £17.4 million salary.
Also, Joao Cancelo joined Bayern on a six-month loan from Manchester City in January. He fell down the pecking order in Pep Guardiola’s side and decided to head out on loan for game time.
Cancelo has not found that playing time in Germany. He has only featured 19 times since the move and has not nailed a starting spot.
There is a £60 million buy clause, but Bayern don’t want to activate it or even try to beat the price down. They will let him leave.
However, Cancelo is adamant he does not want to return to playing for Guardiola. He will likely leave the club this summer too.
La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a move for the Portuguese international. But it may not be possible with their financial condition.
