Manchester United’s Amad Diallo set to go on loan again next season

Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo has enjoyed a spectacular 2022-23 season at Sunderland.

The 20-year-old has featured in 36 Championship appearances this term, registering 12 goals and contributing three assists.

His performances have helped the Black Cats make an unlikely push for promotion to the Premier League as they are sitting in seventh ahead of their final game against Preston North End.

Despite his impressive displays, it looks he will head out on another loan spell for the 2023-24 campaign.

According to The Sun, Manchester United could send Amad on loan to a foreign club in Holland or somewhere similar next season.

The Red Devils believe the 20-year-old has a long-term future at Old Trafford. That’s why they are looking to secure a loan deal for him instead of a permanent transfer.

United signed the Ivorian from Atalanta in a deal worth £37 million in 2020. So far, he has made only nine senior appearances for the Manchester outfit, remaining mostly out on loan.

His loan stint at Scottish giants Rangers last season proved to be a failure as he struggled for minutes at the Ibrox Stadium, starting only two Premiership matches.

However, the talented winger has made a huge comeback this term as he has been highly impressive at Sunderland.

He has earned over 2500 minutes at the Stadium of Light, averaging 1.1 key passes, 1.8 shots and 1.7 dribbles per game (as per Whoscored).

Considering the huge competition, there may not be a place for Amad at Old Trafford now. However, that could change in over a year’s time if he proves his skills at a foreign club during the 2023-24 season.
