Manchester United prioritising move for Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard

L’Équipe are reporting that Manchester United will prioritise a move for Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard (27) should Harry Maguire’s (30) move to West Ham United be confirmed.

A report from The Athletic would suggest that England international Maguire is nearing a move to East London. Should that move be confirmed, Manchester United will be in the market for a replacement. OGC Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo (23) has been touted for a move to Old Trafford by Fabrizio Romano and RMC Sport.

However, according to L’Équipe, the Red Devils will instead prioritise a move for Pavard. Amidst interest from Juventus, Manchester United have made advances on the France international in recent days, although a formal bid is yet to be submitted. Pavard’s arrival is being pushed by Erik Ten Hag, who rates the player highly.

It is expected that Manchester United will submit an offer in the coming days with the possibility of wrapping up the transfer for around €30m. That makes Pavard cheaper than alternative target Todibo, who is reportedly valued at around €40m by Nice.
