According to Sport Bild, Manchester United may reignite their interest in Thomas Müller if the 34-year-old is unable to reach an agreement on a new contract with Bayern Munich.
United had shown an interest in Müller in January but the German was not interested in a move to the Premier League side. However, United manager Erik ten Hag is a fan of Müller and believes his experience can help United get back on track.
There is no greater love story than United and Müller, the Premier League club have consistently been linked to the 34-year-old throughout his career with the closest a move has come to materialising being in 2015.
A move away from Bayern is only an option if the clubs cannot reach an agreement on a new contract, with Müller’s current deal expiring in the summer. The 34-year-old wants to continue playing until at least 2025 preferably at Champions League level and has even rejected big-money deals from the MLS and Saudi Arabia as his priority remains staying at Bayern.
