Manchester United are leading the race to sign João Félix from Atlético Madrid, report Relevo.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Estadio Metropolitiano after falling out with head coach Diego Simeone earlier in the season.
Initially it was believed that PSG would be favourites to take Félix off the hands of Atlético Madrid, but the Parisian side have prioritised Lionel Messi’s contract renewal.
With the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Old Trafford, Manchester United are not only in the financial position to make a substantial offer for Félix, but also have a vacant spot in their forwards department.
The Red Devils already offered €130m for the Portuguese international in the summer transfer window, and it is believed that Atlético Madrid are willing to accept an offer in the region of that value this January.
Félix joined Atlético Madrid in 2019 from Benfica for a club-record fee of €127m.
