Atlanta striker Rasmus Hojlund is being eyed by top European clubs following an eye-catching season in Serie A.
The Danish striker saw his stock rise considerably following an impressive international break last month, scoring five goals in two games, including a hat-trick against Finland.
Regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, speculation continues to mount on Hojlund’s future, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid vying for his signature.
La Dea manager Gian Piero Gasperini has delivered a huge boost to the suitors after stating that it would be impossible to keep Hojlund in the event of lucrative offers.
“I haven’t seen so many strikers as good as Hojlund at 20,” said Gasperini (h/t Fabrizio Romano). “He can improve a lot – he’s great.
“Top European clubs are always attentive to this kind of top talents. There could be some huge bid for him that would be impossible to reject for us.”
Man United continue to scour the transfer market for a new striker as Erik ten Hag looks to sign a top-quality goalscorer this summer.
Chelsea have lacked a productive centre-forward this season, which is reflected in their woes in the final third.
Questions have been raised over the transfer strategy as the Blues have splashed the cash on new signings since last summer but have failed to bring in a reliable goalscorer.
The Blues’ owner Todd Boehly will look to address the issue in the upcoming summer window, and Hojlund is seen as one of the desired options.
However, they will have to fend off Bayern Munich, who have lined up the Danish prospect as one of their potential striker targets for the summer.
The Bavarians are determined to land a new striker at all costs ahead of next season, with Hojlund valued at around €70 million.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keeping tabs on Hojlund.
