Manchester City sign 14-year-old French midfielder Tyrese Noubissie for €1m

Manchester City have officially announced the signing of highly-rated French midfielder Tyrese Noubissie (14) from Leicester City FC. The 14-year-old’s training rights have reportedly cost the Citizens an outlay of €1.2m including bonuses, according to a report from L’Équipe. The French outlet understands that the treble-winning side are focused on acquiring the services of young players with high potential, and that Chelsea, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Newcastle and Arsenal have all tried to lure the 14-year-old midfielder.

Noubissie is said to be displaying performances well beyond his young age – with his work rate in midfield particularly lauded. The Livingston-born talent is eligible to play for several national teams, namely England, Scotland, Cameroon and France. L’Équipe understands that Noubissie would favour Les Bleus – the French FA have already contacted the player’s entourage. Noubissie is expected to feature with the Citizens’ U16 side this season. If all goes well, he is due to sign his first professionnal contract with Manchester City once he turns 17.
