Manchester City are ready to challenge Barcelona for Dani Olmo.
The Spanish international has been heavily linked with an exit from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig after a superb tournament at Euro 2024.
Alongside their ongoing push for Nico Williams, Barcelona are trying to structure an agreement for Olmo, with RB Leipzig hoping to secure a €60m deal for him.
His previous exit clause was set at that fee and the German club want to bring in a similar amount for the 26-year-old.

Barcelona’s current offer is an upfront payment of €40m, with €20m in instalments, which Leipzig will not accept.
As per reports from French outlet Footmercato, City have now made an offer for Olmo, despite an incoming meeting between his agent and Barcelona this weekend.
The Premier League champions are in a better position to meet Leipzig’s asking price and Barcelona will need to amend their offer to remain in the race for Olmo in the coming weeks.
