Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is interested in signing Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala, according to Sport Bild.
The 20-year-old has seen tremendous growth in the last few years, with many regarding him as one of the best young players in the world.
Despite his age, the attacking midfielder has already made over 130 senior appearances for the Bavarians.
Last season, he scored 16 goals and contributed 16 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions. His amazing displays saw him shortlisted for the 2023 Ballon d’Or award.
Musiala has also made an impressive start to the new campaign. He scored for Bayern in their 3-1 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old is contracted to the Bavarians until June 2026 but the Bundesliga giants are still desperate to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly very keen to bring the youngster to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are also credited with an interest in the Germany international.
The Citizens have an excellent attacking midfielder in Kevin de Bruyne. But they cannot find a better long-term successor to the Belgian than Musiala.
The German youngster has already achieved so much and looks to have a very bright future ahead of him.
City could make a move for the 20-year-old in the summer transfer window, but they will likely have to part with a huge sum to convince Bayern to sell their most prized asset.
