
Manchester United star Tyrell Malacia could be forced to remain at Old Trafford beyond the transfer deadline as his proposed loan switch to La Liga outfit Elche has fallen through just a matter of hours before the summer window slams shut, according to The Athletic journalist Mark Critchley.
Although Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim has moved to within touching distance of offloading Antony, thanks to agreeing a deal worth up to £21.6million with Real Betis, he is running out of time to get other members of the squad who have been deemed surplus to requirements off the books.
