Man Utd star now ‘won’t be satisfied’ with Ten Hag at Old Trafford

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo ‘can’t be satisfied with his situation’ at Old Trafford and has not met Erik ten Hag’s demands, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The frontman rejoined the Red Devils for a second spell last year, but there have been ongoing doubts over his long-term future.

What’s the latest news involving Ronaldo?

Ronaldo hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons last month as he refused to come off the bench and left Old Trafford before the final whistle as Manchester United registered a 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

The 37-year-old was punished for his actions and dropped from the matchday squad when the Red Devils took on Chelsea days later.

But it seems that Ronaldo, who will add to his 191 caps when Portugal head to Qatar for the World Cup in a matter of weeks, has worked his way back into ten Hag’s plans recently.

That is because he returned to a Premier League starting line-up when Manchester United secured a 1-0 win over West Ham United last weekend.

Ronaldo was rewarded after finding the back of the net in a 3-0 Europa League group stage victory against Sheriff Tiraspol.

What has Dharmesh Sheth said about Ronaldo?

Sheth believes Ronaldo will be frustrated after spending lengthy spells of the campaign on the bench.

The Sky Sports reporter understands the former Real Madrid star has been overlooked by ten Hag on numerous occasions as he does not contribute enough when out of possession.

When asked what the future holds for the striker, Sheth told GIVEMESPORT: “It’s going to be up to Ronaldo because he still can’t be satisfied with his situation.

“He’s going to have to deal with that himself because I don’t think Erik ten Hag’s going to change. He’s decided ‘this is how I want to play and if you want to be in this team, then you’re going to have to press’.

“He made it public that he sometimes hasn’t picked Ronaldo because he wanted players who could press from the front.”

When did Cristiano Ronaldo make his debut for Manchester United?

Could Ronaldo leave Manchester United in January?

Ronaldo told Manchester United he wanted to seal his exit during the summer transfer window due to his intention to compete in the Champions League, but he failed to secure a move before the September 1 deadline.

It is understood that an exit strategy is being considered after his antics last month and, if a suitor cannot be found by super-agent Jorge Mendes, the Red Devils may be willing to cut their losses and let him go on a free at the turn of the year.

With that being the case, Ronaldo’s 145-goal Manchester United career appears to be nearing its end.

As his £480,000-per-week contract is due to expire next summer, it would make sense to attempt to find a buyer during the winter window.
