Man Utd Hold Talks to Sign £80m ‘Monster’ in Garnacho Swap Deal

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Chelsea outcast Nicolas Jackson in a potential swap deal for Alejandro Garnacho, GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

The Old Trafford side have reportedly discussed a potential move for the ‘monster’ Senegal international but are unlikely to accept it, as they are seeking a cash-only deal with the aim of reinvesting into new signings.

United are believed to have been offered at least four Chelsea players in exchange for Garnacho, including Jackson, who reportedly has a price tag of £80m, Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi and Renato Veiga.

However, despite an appreciation for some of them, the Red Devils are unlikely to move for any of these players amid ongoing talks over the Argentinian’s potential move to Stamford Bridge.

According to Romano, Garnacho remains a story to watch in the final three weeks of the summer transfer window – he is expected to complete a move to Chelsea, with personal terms now fully agreed.

The Argentinian winger reportedly has a deal in place until June 2032 and sees Stamford Bridge as the perfect opportunity to revive his career after a disappointing season under Ruben Amorim.

Garnacho has rebuffed interest from a host of European and Saudi clubs this summer, as his only aim is to join Chelsea. He is believed to have received calls from Erik ten Hag’s Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli, who were targeting him in January.

The 21-year-old’s priority is to stay in the Premier League and Man United are aware of his intentions – if he is unable to secure a move to West London, he could stay at the club and continue to be part of Amorim’s so-called ‘Bomb Squad’.

Jackson, meanwhile, is also expected to be on the move before the deadline – the Senegal forward has no future at Chelsea under Enzo Maresca, despite only being handed a nine-year contract last September.

The Senegal international has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in recent weeks, including Tottenham, who are rumoured to be interested in his services.
